What is a Color Season?

Color season analysis (also called personal color analysis) is a system that identifies which colors make your specific skin tone, hair, and eyes look most radiant. It's based on the natural characteristics of your coloring — undertone, depth, and contrast — not the calendar.

The 12-Season system identifies Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter families — each with three sub-seasons — giving much more precise guidance than the original 4-season model.

🌸 Spring

Warm, clear, light coloring. Golden undertone.

❄️ Summer

Cool, soft, muted coloring. Pink undertone.

🍂 Autumn

Warm, rich, muted coloring. Golden-bronze undertone.

🌙 Winter

Cool, clear, high-contrast coloring. Blue undertone.

How Color Season Analysis Works

📸

1. Upload Your Photo

A clear selfie in natural light gives the most accurate result. No heavy filters or makeup is ideal for first-time analysis.

🔬

2. AI Analyzes Your Coloring

Our AI examines your skin undertone, depth, hair and eye color, and contrast to map you to one of 12 distinct color seasons.

Color Season FAQ

Check the veins on the inside of your wrist: greenish veins suggest a warm undertone (Spring or Autumn), while bluish-purple veins indicate a cool undertone (Summer or Winter). If you can't tell, you may have a neutral undertone. Gold jewelry tends to flatter warm skin, while silver suits cool skin better.

Your natural hair color contributes to your overall contrast level, but it does not define your season on its own. Dyed hair does not change your underlying season — your skin undertone and natural contrast remain the primary factors. If you've dyed your hair, use a photo with your natural hair pulled back for the most accurate AI analysis.

Soft Summer and Soft Autumn are the most common seasons globally, as muted coloring is statistically more frequent. True Winter — with its high contrast and cool clarity — is the rarest. Most people fall into a sub-season rather than a pure 4-season category, which is why the 12-season system provides more accurate, personalized color guidance.

Absolutely. Color season analysis is a guide, not a rulebook. If a color outside your palette makes you feel confident, wear it proudly. For the most flattering effect, place colors from your opposing season further from your face (e.g., as trousers, skirts, or accessories) while keeping your best colors near your complexion on top.
